See the Island from All AnglesJeju Adventures at Sea, on Land, and in the Sky

Most visitors to Jeju experience the island from the land. You can see everything the area has to offer this way, but only from a single perspective. For a full view of the region, consider adding activities that help you explore via the sea and the sky, too. At sea, you can view dolphins from a yacht or speed around the coast in a jet boat. On land, go deep into the countryside with an off-road tour or race your friends in gravity racing karts. To see the island from the air, try Lafly Ziplines, which has over 700 meters of ziplines that take visitors through the Jeju sky.

Spotting Dolphins in the WildM1971 Dolphin Tour

The M1971 Dolphin Tour is a trip to see the 100 or so dolphins that call the southwest of Jeju home. A typical excursion involves searching for the dolphins and then spending time watching them. When viewing the dolphins, the yacht tries to stay 50 meters away from the animals to avoid disturbing them. As the animals are wild, you aren’t guaranteed to see them but the company says 90% of tours do. If your trip is one of the unlucky ones, the company will give you a 50% refund. Be aware that the trip is weather-dependent and may be canceled in strong winds or rain.

Two Ways to View the Jungmun CoastYacht Tour Shangrila and Viva Jet Boat

Jungmun on the southern side of Jeju is home to some of Jeju’s most spectacular coastline. The area contains famous attractions, including Jungmun Beach and the pillar-like formations of Daepo Jusangjeolli Cliffs. You have two drastically different options if you want to view this stretch of coast from the sea.
The first is a relaxing yacht tour. Yacht Tour Shangrila is located next to Jungmun Beach and provides trips along the coast. You can reserve several types of tours, including both public and private trips and ones that let you fish from the side of the boat. The other option is to speed around the coast in a jet boat. This is the best option for thrill-seekers, and it is an exciting way to experience the area’s unique coastline. It’s also perfect for hot summer days when the water splashing around the boat will cool you down.

Experience the Sky and Ocean in One TripJejujet Parasailing Tour

Parasailing is an adrenaline-pumping way to explore both the ocean and the sky. It is an activity where a boat takes you out into the sea while attached to a parasail wing—a type of canopy that resembles a parachute. As the boat picks up speed, you are lifted in the air above the water. At the end of the trip, the captain shortens the rope to bring you safely back on board. It’s not for the faint of heart, but if you don't mind heights, you’re sure to have fun. The activity requires little from the parasailer, meaning it is open to anyone—even those who haven’t done it before. If you want to try parasailing, you can do so at Jejujet which is based in Jungmun.

Action-Packed Country AdventureJerazin Camp Off-Road Drive

Off-roading is perhaps the most exciting way to experience Jeju’s countryside. At Jerazin Camp, you can take a 6.5km course in an open-top four-wheeler that goes through the area’s volcanic hills, Gotjawal forest, and fields of horses. The journey can get bumpy, but you are always in safe hands with expert drivers at the wheel. The company offers two types of experience: the first is a 50-minute general course, while the Starry Road course takes you out after dark.

Speed and CompetitionGravity Racing at 9.81 Park

9.81 Park is a gravity racing track where you ride karts that are powered only by the momentum generated from going downhill. But not having an engine doesn’t mean the karts are slow. Starting at the top of the specially built course, you can reach speeds of up to a thrilling 40 kph. There are various courses available for everyone, from beginners to experts. It’s also possible to take a two-person car which is ideal if you are traveling with someone who doesn’t want to drive.

The Feeling of FlyingLafly Zip Line

If you enjoyed the bird’s eye view of Jeju from the plane on the way to the island, then  Lafly Zip Line is a wonderful way to see more of the region from the air. The area’s course has four different ziplines with a total length of around 700 meters. The final one is a hair-raising 200-meter long trip. While flying through the air, be sure to check out the nearby scenery—you’ll see green tea fields and views out over the nearby oreum

(volcanic cone).
