Swimming with pets is restricted to designated areas of the beach during open season. Additionally, please note that access for pets may be restricted at any time in response to complaints from other visitors or on-site conditions.

This beach is highly recommended if you’re in search of one to visit on the western side of Jeju, located in Hallim-eup, Jeju City, and part of Jeju Olle Trail Route 14. It is also considered a “twin beach” with nearby Geumneung Eutteumwon Beach. The water here is crystal-clear, gradually transitioning to emerald hues. At low tide, the silver sand beach full of seashells stretches out endlessly.

The beach’s gentle slope, shallow waters, and pine forest make it an ideal vacation spot for families with children. The area is also full of a large number of cafés, restaurants, and lodgings. Nearby attractions include Hallim Park, Geumneung Eutteumwon Beach, Geumneung Stone Park, and the cactus colony in Wollyeong-ri.

In summer, the beach is crowded with people looking to have fun in the sun and sea. Umbrellas, tubes, and patios can be rented for a reasonable fee at the Hyeopjae Community Center, managed by the local youth association.

Near the beach lies Biyangdo, an island said to resemble the elephant swallowed by a boa constrictor from The Little Prince. The sun setting behind this island over the sea creates a breathtaking vista that you won’t want to miss out on. The beach is open late in summer, allowing you to relax beneath the palm trees under the serene sky of the blue Jeju night.
