Aquaplanet Jeju is the largest aquarium in all of Asia, with a total floor area of 25,600m² and tanks holding 10,800 tons of sea water.
As a single aquarium, Aquaplanet Jeju is indeed the largest in the world. With approximately 48,000 animals and plants of around 500 species are available for viewing,
Aquaplanet Jeju, an “amusement theme park” offering one of the world’s top 10 educational, cultural, and entertainment content, operates a marine science experience hall and a large-scale aquatic performance center together with a supersized tank that recreates the coastal waters of Jeju Island.
This is also the first place where the “whale shark” was introduced in Korea.
