There are two theories on why this site is called Sonangmeori or Sonammeori today. One is because it looks like a head of a cow (“So” means cow in Korean) and the other is that because it is a hill with a lot of pine trees (“So” also means pine trees in Korean). It is a place where you can enjoy the ocean, the forest, and the brook all at once.
