Founded in 1933, Wollasa Temple has been at the center of Sinhyo village life. Sadly, during the April 3rd Incident that started in 1947 and continued into the 1950s, it was destroyed in the internecine conflict. However, it has now been relocated and restored. At its entrance is a symbol of Sinhyo — the orange tree — and around the grounds are many ginko (eunhaeng) trees whose golden leaves are particularly beautiful in the autumn. This peaceful place is a treat for anyone who spends most of their time in an urban environment.
