Enjoy the fantastic chill vibe!<Jeju brunch cafés>

Are you looking for a place to have a late breakfast or early lunch? Whether it is a simple breakfast or a solid lunch you want, there are plenty of cafés on Jejudo that will offer you a variety of choices for brunch. These cafés are popular among visitors thanks to their comfortable atmosphere and fresh dishes using local ingredients. Here, everything from the interior to the food, plates, teacups, and even pictures on the walls, is in perfect harmony. Wherever you visit, you can surely relax your body and mind. Let’s explore some of the best cafés with the most delicious brunches and pleasant atmosphere.

Calm and clean Su Casa (Gujwa)

Jejudo is particularly abundant in beautiful cafés. One of them is Su Casa. This clean, white café is in a village with stone walls in Haengwon-ri, Gujwa-eup. With its neat decor and calm atmosphere, this café offers a satisfying brunch. Notes from previous visitors posted to the wall should prove how good this place is. Considering the number of visitors, the café is fairly small with only five tables. On a crowded day, you might have to put your name and phone number on a waiting list. Here’s a tip. Some people spend their time waiting at nearby Woljeongni Beach.

Since every dish in Su Casa is prepared after the order is taken, you should take your time. The brunch menu consists of four items: eggs benedict with bacon, eggs benedict with smoked salmon, eggs benedict with avocado, and “Happy June.” The most popular dishes are the eggs benedict with mashed avocado and half-done eggs and Happy June with French toast topped with seasonal fruit and Jeju honey. In addition, don’t miss the recommended seasonal drinks at the top of the menu. Note that Su Casa has a special place, namely a “parents’ attention zone.” As the café has a lot of decorations and is relatively small, parents with children should pay more attention. To raise awareness, Su Casa created a parents’ attention zone instead of a child-free zone. Also, if you are planning to visit by car, you should park in the public parking lot at the entrance of the village because there is no parking lot next to the café.

As blue as the sea and as green as the forest Geuchorok (Haengwon)

Start your journey in Jeju with a leisurely brunch at a café that embraces the island’s refreshing blue and green nature. Geuchorok, which is next to the beach, offers an awesome view of Jeju’s pristine blue sea. And blue isn’t the only color you can enjoy: green is there as well. This one-story café is decorated with various types of greenery. From its relaxing interior to its comfortable terrace created on the rooftop, Geuchorok allows you to experience the harmony between blue and green. On a lovely day, the refreshing breeze and warm sunlight on the terrace might invite you to take a nap after having brunch. The name Geuchorok, which can be mistranslated as green (in Korean, “geu” means that and “chorok” means green), is actually a Jeju word with the meaning of “like that.” Considering this fact, the name seems to fit ingeniously well with the café’s refreshing atmosphere.

At Geuchorok, avocado is used in a variety of ways. You can have the green sandwich with avocado for brunch or try green coffee, the café’s signature drink. Amazingly, this coffee, which contains pureed avocado, tastes similar to an affogato. Its bitter, smooth and sweet taste would even astonish people who don’t like avocados. If you are looking for something without avocados, don’t worry. Geuchorok’s menu also includes club sandwiches, green tea-flavored Jeju herb tiramisu, grapefruit juice, and much more.

You are welcome to take pictures in the small photo zone in the front garden. There is a parking lot right next to the café, so you won’t have any trouble visiting by car. Come to Haengwon-ri and start your day with a healthy sandwich and avocado coffee. The café’s white windmill will greet you at all times.

A refreshing escape from the busy streets Plante (Nohyeong-dong)

Plante is a place where you can get away from the noisy downtown area. The café has a fascinating view of Hallasan Mountain and attracts visitors with a bright and warm atmosphere. Moreover, Plante is full of refreshing flowering plants and other flora, just like its name, which is the French word for plant. On one side of the café, small pots and dry flowers are for sale. Here, everything is in harmony. Not only do the white decorations go well with the hardwood, but the colors of the food also match the plates.

This nature-friendly café offers detox smoothies as its signature drink. These drinks, named green, purple, red, and orange smoothie, contain different fresh ingredients according to their color. A detox smoothie is a good remedy for a heavy stomach due to a delicious heavy meal of the previous night. Plante also serves various sandwiches and salads for brunch. Among the salmon, beef, shrimp, and avocado sandwiches on the menu, the one-bite avocado basil sandwich is Plante’s star dish. You can enjoy the flavors of ripe avocado and savory basil pesto on thick bread.

Parking is not a problem since a large parking lot is just outside the café. Also, you don’t have to worry about how you should spend your day after having brunch at Plante. Nearby tourist attractions include the Jeju Museum of Art, the theme park Jeju Loveland, Dokkaebi Road (Mystery Road), and Halla Arboretum. If you’re searching for a place that serves a light brunch, go to Plante. You won’t be disappointed.
